Tell us something about yourself?
I'm an aspiring visual artist from Daet, Camarines Norte. I am currently studying fine arts at the University of the Philippines Baguio. Most of my artworks are women because she tends to express emotions effectively, aside from her enchanting charms. I adore women as I immortalize them through my paintings. I believe that women are emotional beings that best portray feelings.
Where do you draw inspiration for your art?
As I've mentioned, Women's unique traits are my foundation, and Filipina beauties inspire me in creating artwork. The paintings are also infused with the natural beauty of flowers and surroundings. If I were to ask my inspiration artist, it is always Hermes Alegre.
Describe your art style?
Under contemporary art, with the attempt to imitate cubism art, the geometric patterns are most probably shown on the women's necks. With an obviously long neck, it tries to adapt the mannerism style, also known as the late renaissance period, where the characteristics of mannerism include hyper idealization and distorted human forms.
Have you always wanted to become an artist?
Always! That's why I pursue this career path as a fine arts student.
