Meet Mark Hernandez, a 21-year-old artist who believes that flaws and vulnerabilities are what make us unique and beautiful. He draws inspiration from nature, films, and human behavior, and uses his creative vision to explore and showcase the intricacies of everyday life.
" I never became committed to the talent that I always hold until last year of April when I started to bet on myself and trust what the art industry could offer," Mark said. " But if you were to ask if I ever see myself being an artist, absolutely yes! I knew I had the epiphany to create art which then made me visualize myself being an artist at the very young age of 5."
Mark's paintings are vibrant and alive, featuring bold outlines and simplified objects that convey the movement and emotion of his subjects. His style is influenced by the dry brush technique, which allows him to create a sense of depth and texture in his work.
"I love to describe my paintings as vivid and alive," he said. "For the specificity of my works, i currently use acrylic on canvas in dry brush technique which flaunt the bold outlines and simplified objects to give emphasis in the free movement of my subjects mainly mundane experiences, activities of people which grasp the feelings and flaws that makes them peculiar in a way that it indulge vulnerabilities in being an ordinary."
The artistic pursuit
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Mark is an avid traveler who loves to explore new cultures and gain new perspectives. He's also a big music fan, particularly of indie and alternative genres, and often incorporates music into his creative process to set the mood and tone for his paintings.
When he's not creating art, Mark can be found reading books on philosophy and self-improvement, and pushing himself to grow and develop as an artist and as a person. His ultimate goal is to inspire others to embrace their creativity and pursue their passions, no matter what obstacles may stand in their way.
