Calling Anime Fans! A New Inuyasha Sequel Is Currently In The Works - Metroscene Mag

As known by fans, Inuyasha has already ended with Inuyasha: The Final Act. However, it looks like creator Rumiko Takahashi isn’t quite done with the half-demon and the supernatural world yet.

The Inuyasha series is already confirmed to have a comeback with a new project that will introduce us to Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s daughters! Yes. You read that, right!

The sequel is reported to be called “Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogi Soushi” or “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.” A full visual has also been released, together with some character designs. As seen, the character designs reveal resemblances to the characters of Inuyasha: Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango.

Here’s the description of the plot from the announcement:

“In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.

Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.”

The anime’s official website is now also open. Hopefully, the new sequel will include fan-favorite characters like Kagome, Miroku, and Sango.
