Hey Kitty Girls! As the local drag community in the Philippines immensely grows, more and more queens get braver and more popular among locals. So if you are new to the amazing world of drag or just a local fan that can’t get enough of the charisma, uniqueness, and nerve served by our proudly Filipino Drag Queens, we got you covered! Here is the list of some of the fabulous kweens that you should follow on social media!

Prince is known for her stunning vibrant funky wigs and insanely dazzling make-up. She is also known for her remarkable make-up transformations, including her viral Mystique transformation, a fictional character from the X-Men. Brigiding views drag as a form of political expression as well as a creative art, as she explains in her interview with Metro Style. After her Instagram post about the Drag Race Philippines, many Filipino fans got so excited and looked forward to her appearance on the show.

MC (Maria Cristina) (@maria_christina_mc )

MC is an all-rounder queen. Aside from being a drag queen, MC is also an artist, cultural advocate, and founder of Drag Academy PH. They are also part of the Emerging Drag Artist in the Philippines. Marina Summers (@marinaxsummers )

It’s Summertime, beaches! Marina Summers is a drag artist, producer, and co-founder of Drag Playhouse PH. As she told in her interview with Village Pipol, the inspiration behind her drag persona Marina Summers is the place where she finds peace and quiet, which is the beach. With her recently released debut single “I Have Arrived”, Marina Summers is totally lightin’ up the whole wide world right now! Go check out her music on Spotify and Itunes.

Viñas DeLuxe (@vinasdelux)

With her diverse array of wigs and wide selection of outfits, Viñas DeLuxe is really serving us snatch game-worthy eleganza extravaganza!

Turing (@turingquinto )

Turing is a drag artist and well-known performing artist. She is also known as a body positivity advocate, as she represents femininity and gender fluidity with her art. If you’re into editorial shots and glamor, you should definitely follow Turing.

Mrs. Tan (@heymrstan)

Mrs. Tan is a drag artist, known for her signature winged eyeliner, piercing eyes, and sharp cheekbones look. In her interview with GMA Entertainment, she explained how drag is more than just a speck of entertainment but rather, a form of protest. As Mrs. Tan wanted to inspire more people through her drag, she uses drag as a way to start a deeper discourse. She is literally our innovative and creative queen!

So, as we celebrate love, diversity, and the LGBTQ+ community this coming Pride Month, supporting our local drag queens is a big help. Supporting and appreciating their craft not just for fun, but to be with them and understand their craft as a whole.
