Nadine Lustre is starring in Mikhail Red’s techno-horror film about online content moderation

Ever wondered how your favorite social media apps moderate the millions of posts users upload and publish every day? Well, an upcoming Mikhail Red film will give us a glimpse into the world of online content moderation.

Here’s what you need to know about the movie, which is titled Deleter:

Nadine Lustre Leads Cast of Mikhail Red Film

Mikhail Red, the director of films such as Birdshot and Eerie, is directing an upcoming film called Deleter. Online content moderation plays heavily in the story of the film and it is arguably the most intriguing thing we know about it so far.

We all have probably read posts or seen interviews and documentaries of the negative psychological and emotional effects their job has on content online moderators. We can expect this to be fleshed out in Mikhail Red’s film.

According to reports, it will focus on a moderator who has to deal with the effects and fallout of deleting the suicide video made by her own co-worker.

If the theme of Deleter is not enough to intrigue you, then its cast just might. Leading the cast is none other than Nadine Lustre, who has often spoken out about the negative aspects of social media. Joining her are McCoy de Leon and Louise delos Reyes.

When Can We Expect Deleter to Hit the Theaters?

We’ll have to contain our excitement because a release date for Deleter has yet to be announced as of writing.

What we do know, however, is that location shooting is scheduled for August and September, and the film is expected to be complete before the year-end film festivals begin.

We’re already willing to bet that Queen Nadine will be in the running for Best Actress.
