What to expect from Leni Robredo's Angat Buhay NGO?

Jul 4, 2022 0 comments

On Friday, July 1, Former Vice President Leni Robredo launched the Angat Buhay NGO (non-governmental organization). The organization is believed to be the "biggest volunteer movement in Philippine history," according to Atty. Robredo.

The campaign is thought to be a continuation of the "pink revolution," which was sparked by her presidential bid in 2022. The Angat Buhay NGO, which is named after the well-regarded anti-poverty and pandemic response program by Robredo’s term in Office of the Vice President, was launched after she stepped down as a vice president.

What to expect from Angat Pinas Inc. (Angat Buhay NGO)?

Robredo said during the launch that they were unable to register Angat Buhay as a corporation since another organization had already done so years earlier.

As a substitute, they registered the organization as Angat Pinas Inc., nonetheless, they will still refer to the program as Angat Buhay.

It is expected to focus on four pillars such as health, education, disaster relief and response, and community engagement.

It will be funded through the help of the gifts her supporters gave during the campaign. Visitors may get these artworks and memorabilia in exchange for any amount of donation.

Kakampinks are now getting excited to continue the spirit of volunteerism through the Angat Buhay NGO. Netizens find it beautiful since the spirit of volunteerism continues with or without an election.
