Actor Robbie Coltrane who played Hagrid in Harry Potter has passed away

Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, who brought Rubeus Hagrid to life in the ‘Harry Potter’ saga, lost his life on Friday, his agent confirmed. Actor who played Hagrid in Harry Potter has passed away. 


The Harry Potter, James Bond and Cracker star died at a hospital near his home in Larbert, Scotland. The award-winning actor had been in ill health for the past two years.


"We are hugely saddened to hear of the passing of the magnificent Robbie Coltrane who played Hagrid with such kindness, heart and humour in the Harry Potter films," the “Harry Potter” film franchise said in statement. "He was a wonderful actor, a friend to all and he will be deeply missed."
