This Local Taco Place is More Than a Dining Spot, It's a Hub for the Community

La Toca Taqueria isn't your average local taco shop. Sure, they serve up delicious tacos inspired by authentic Mexican flavors, but their mission goes far beyond just the food. It is simple yet profound: to create a space where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, share a meal, and develop meaningful connections.

The founders envisioned a welcoming space where everyone feels like family. La Toca aims to be your go-to spot, a place that feels like home, whether you're celebrating a win, commiserating over a breakup, or just grabbing a bite with friends.

La Toca feels like home

Conveniently located near DLSU in Taft, Manila, La Toca is perfect for students and foodies alike. They're open late, serving up their delicious food from 10am til' 2am, so you can satisfy your taco cravings anytime.

The restaurants's name itself, a playful twist on "The Taco," hints at their ambition to create the ultimate taco experience. It's ambiance reflects this ethos, exuding warmth, authenticity, and a laid-back vibe that instantly puts guests at ease. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite between classes or lingering over dinner with friends, La Toca feels like home.

La Bestseller

Their menu boasts a delightful array of options, from the classic Carnitas (P220 for two pieces, P310 for three pieces) featuring fried pulled pork paired with roasted pineapples, to the indulgent Quesabirria (P270 for two pieces, P390 for three pieces) served with a delectable beef consommé for dipping.

However, what sets La Toca apart are the subtle yet creative twists they apply to their dishes. Take, for instance, the Carne Asada (P310 for two pieces, P440 for three pieces) infused with bone-marrow butter, or the Sisig Chicharon (P220 for two pieces, P310 for three pieces) elevated with crushed pork cracklings. These innovative protein combinations are also available in rice bowl, quesadilla, and burrito formats, ensuring there's something to satisfy every craving and preference. But according to the founders, Nothing beats the Helado (ice cream) for dessert!

A taco place for you

But La Toca is more than just a restaurant; it's a hub for community engagement and advocacy. Through a variety of initiatives, including community events, Taco Tuesday nights, and partnerships with local organizations, La Toca strives to foster a sense of belonging and empower positive change. Whether it's celebrating local achievements, raising awareness for important causes, or simply bringing people together for a good time, La Toca is dedicated to making a difference in the neighborhoods it serves.

In essence, La Toca is more than just a place to eat – it's a celebration of culture, community, and the power of food to unite us all. So the next time you're craving a taco with a side of camaraderie, look no further than La Toca, where every bite is a step towards building a brighter, more connected world.
