When K-Pop groups take the stage, you can always trust that they're all about giving a performance that's a feast for the senses. There's the actual song, the costumes, the lighting, and of course, the choreography. So much attention and detail goes into making the catchiest choreography that many of them have become so iconic, especially girl group dances.

From Wonder Girls and Girls' Generation down to BLACKPINK and TWICE, the different generations of K-Pop girl groups have so many memorable dances and we won't be surprised if you tried dancing along with one or more. If you haven't and would love to give it a try or if you need a new choreo to learn, we asked local fans which dances they think every K-Pop fan should know by heart!

Falling in Love (2NE1)

For Jean Rose, 22, every k-pop fans need to learn for is 2NE1's Falling in Love. Not only the song but the dance steps also has a summer and feel good vibes. "I'm sure everyone will fall in love with it." she said.

If you will also watch the dance video, the first thing you will notice is how the girls are even singing live even if it's not a stage performance, making you admire them more. "It's not everyday you see a group that sings live even on a dance practice video," Jean said.

Kill This Love (BLACKPINK)

BLACKPINK seems to be a favorite among fans when it comes to girl group choreos that everyone should try. For Lia, 15, the particular BLACKPINK choreo everyone should know belongs to Kill This Love. "Aside from BLACKPINK's fame, this is a very widely used dance," says Lia. "It's quite simple so everyone could do it."

Fire (2NE1)

For Mark, 22, nothing beats the nostalgic feeling 2NE1's Fire brings. From Christmas to birthdays, the track is always present that kinds and even adults alike dance to. "Can you imagine me asa 10 years old dancing to  “fire” by 2ne1 in our school intermission," he said. "The good old days"

Forever Young (BLACKPINK)

If pole dancing is just a tad bit too complex for your liking, Jaey Ashley, 30, may have a pick that you’ll prefer much more: BLACKPINK’s Forever Young. “It’s a very relatable song,” Jaey Ashley explains.

“And has easy to follow yet super cute dance steps!” Judging by the numerous dance covers that you can find on YouTube, we have to agree.

Wannabe (ITZY)

For 13-year-old fan Mariana, the dance every fan should know about is ITZY’s Wannabe. “The choreography for Wannabe is the definition of iconic,” says Mariana. “It includes the iconic Ryujin “Shoulder Dance” which requires you to move your shoulders in a certain pattern and at a certain pace.”
“This song is also matched with very tricky and energetic moves, making it look captivating,” she adds.

“Aside from this, this dance is also known to be addictive to do and try, making most idols and fans wish they could do so as well.”

First Love (After School)

For Mara, 27, the choreo that every fan should know is the one for After School’s First Love. But here’s a fair warning: it actually involves some pole dancing!

“In K-Pop, learning choreography is hard enough because you also have to sing, but After School took it up a notch with their dedication to learn pole dancing, incorporating it in their performance of First Love and executing it flawlessly during live shows.” she says. “You can even see their battle scars (in this case, bruises) covered up by temporary tattoos.”

Dr. Feel Good (Rania)

As a k-pop fan since 2010, Chrizian, 22 thinks that Rania's Dr. Feel Good Choreo should be on everyone's lists. "I still remembered when it was first released ten years ago." He shares. "It literally shocked the entire Korean Netizens and the Kpop fans for its sexy concept."

Back then, Korea was known for being very conservative, but everything changed when the song and choreo were released. So, If you're looking for a literally Sexy Girl Group Song and Choreo, checkout Rania's Dr. Feel Good.

Any Girls’ Generation choreo

For Bella, when it comes to iconic and memorable girl group choreos, you just can’t go wrong with the group South Koreans consider as the Nation’s Girl Group, Girls’ Generation. It’s hard to pick just one too because there are so many to choose from. There’s the cutesy choreo of Gee, the popular leg dance of Genie, and the classy but literally down-to-the-floor choreo of The Boys. You will definitely find one you’d love to try. Which popular K-Pop girl group dance do you think all fans should know and try? Sound off in our comments and let us know your thoughts!
