Content creator Mona-Magno Veluz, or Mighty Magulang, made the announcement on X last Tuesday, October 3, that she will be representing the Philippines on Tiktok’s Content and Safety Advisory Council for Asia Pacific.

TikTok’s Content and Safety Advisory Council
With the overpour of daily content posted on the app, we can’t fully claim that everything is filtered. Some still slip through, which actually makes it a little less safe, especially for younger users. This is where the Regional Safety Advisory Council enters the play.
These council members are not just here for the clout and title. TikTok has made sure to be more inclusive by appointing the right people from diverse backgrounds. Sure, being part of the TikTok community sounds chill and fun, but this council has got some work to do!
Better be safe than sorry! This council is not just here to solve the app’s current issues. At some point, they also need to think decades forward to shield all users from future harm.
