Ran out for condoms and pills? This community pantry has it all!

Yes, sir!

It's been a year, and we're almost out of letters to name the multiple and unending community lockdowns in the country, yet things haven't changed a bit—we're still stuck at home.

Having nothing to do at home and with the extra stress, anxiety, and depression we're experiencing during the lockdown, admit t or not, but it always ends up in sex.

Having one of the longest lockdowns in the world, Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) predicts that Filipinos will continue to grow in numbers in 2021 with little progress in family planning.

Luckily, with the rise of community pantries that tend to the hunger of our kababayans by supplying food, a unique and special community pantry was made to cater to everyone's another hunger— sex. Yes, sir and ma'am! You read that right!

The "Bucana Community Pantry" is led by Chico Manginsay, the LGBT Queens President, and deputy Convenor for Transgender at LGBTQ+ Coalition in Davao City.

"I am a health Advocate and working at reproductive health and wellness center Davao and we are focusing on STI, HIV, AIDS PREVENTION and also a certified distributor of family planning organization of the Philippine Davao City- Chapter,"  Manginsay said.

The Objective of Bucana Community Pantry goes beyond helping people quarantine because aside from encouraging people to participate in safe and responsible sex, the pantry also provide essential food for the Community.
