Believe it or not, Crinkles (or Crinkle Cookies as they’re known elsewhere) are commonly only eaten during Christmastime in other countries since they’re classified as Christmas cookies. No one really knows how Crinkles were invented but some sources claim it’s all thanks to a certain Helen Fredell of St. Paul, Minnesota, who was mentioned in one of the Betty Crocker cookbooks.

It’s pretty difficult to imagine eating Crinkles just during Christmas since we Filipinos love it all year round. In fact, we take Crinkles so seriously that there’s even a study done under the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science Technology! The research was titled “Development and Transfer of the Technology of Iron-Fortified Chocolate Crinkles,” and you can read the background of the study here.

We think it’s safe to say that we’re pretty much the Crinkle Capital of the world and if reading about this powdery, chocolatey treat has made you crave for it, don’t worry! Here’s a handful of online businesses you can order from. In fact, many of them have found ways to put a modern twist to the classic Crinkles!

Oven-Hearted

If you prefer your Crinkles the old fashioned way, Oven-Hearted should be your go-to online shop. You can order by messaging their Instagram account.

 House of Crinkles

Choco Butternut-flavored desserts were one of the trends of 2020, and House of Crinkles offers their crinkles in this flavor along with other options such as Red Velvet Crinkles with Strawberry Cream Cheese. To order, just message their Facebook or Instagram.

 Minkles

Are you a fan of Chocnut? Or how about Meiji Apollo Strawberry Chocolate? If you are, Minkles has stuffed these sweet treats into their Crinkles! Order some for yourself thru their Facebook or Instagram.

 Hannah Baker PH

Hannah Baker PH’s Rainbow Crinkles don’t just come in a wide array of colors. They come in different flavors too! If you’re up for some matcha, ube, and peanut butter crinkles (among others!), place your orders via their Facebook or Instagram.

 Truffle City

Can Crinkles get even chocolatier? Yes, they can! Truffle City let you pick between 55%, 64%. or 77% Auro dark chocolate for the filling of your crinkles! Drop a message thru their Facebook or Instagram to order.

 Cookies by Isabel

Not a fan of chocolate? Maybe Calamansi Crinkles can tickle your fancy! Order from Cookies by Isabel via their Facebook or Instagram.
