Metrobeats vol. 2: The Metroscene top music picks for your playlist

Nov 27, 2022 0 comments

Metrobeats is Metroscene's way of highlighting the finest local music from our radar. Below we've broken down our list of our favorite songs from our favorite local artists from different genres. So whether you're into Hip Hop, House, Indie Rock, Disco, or Pop Music, or you have a diverse musical taste, you can find the newest #Metrobeats below.

3:15 - syd hartha ft. kiyo

For this track, folk-pop artist syd hartha veered away from her more ethereal folk sound and served us an acoustic R&B with hip-hop star kiyo. 3:15 is about "how someone feels wrong but feels so good at the same time," which explains the warm, breezy, bare-bones, and sexy vibe in the track.

Maitim Na Mahika - JRoa feat.YuriDope & Blaster Silonga

"Maitim na Mahika" feels like it comes straight out of a movie. The beat is like an eerie black magic that draws you in to listen. Moreover, the lyricism in this track is just on point. The chorus is so addictive that it will leave you LSS for days.

Bahala na Bukas - Jrldm

This track is definitely one of the best songs from Jrldm new album, Mood Swings (Par Edition). This is Jrldm at his most sentimental, ranking among the album's highlights. The track offers a pleasing soft-focus saga of living that makes you feel all the feels.

Meet Me at Sunrise - Arthur Tan, Lesha

This track is for you if you want something to groove on from your playlist. Once you press play, there's no stopping the vibe. The track delivers a new take on a breakup song and somehow takes you back in time with its beats that resemble the electro-pop from the early 2010's.

Tingbits - Kurt Fick

We need more Vispop, like "tingbits" by Kurt Fick. We could not stop listening to it. This groovy track is a breath of fresh air as Kurt Fick sings the song in both Bisaya and Filipino. The chorus is very catchy, and the lyrics are very crisp as it tells us that love doesn’t have to be expensive.
