Drag Den PH is a Love Letter for the Pinoy Queer Community

After a year and a half of waiting, Filipino drag finally gets to see our original Drag competition, with the premiere of Drag Den Philippines!

Drag Den Philippines is hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race star Manila Luzon along with Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves and social media personality Sassa Gurl.

The pilot episode finally dropped last Thursday, December 8, via Prime Video Philippines, and it is nothing but a sweet love letter for the Filipino queer community.

Drag Den Philippines

Dubbed a “drag pageant for Filipinos by Filipinos,” Drag Den Philippines really took their time to serve us the best quality drag show ever.

It's only the first episode, but the queens are already serving us everything we look for in a drag competition. the looks, the campiness, and the fun— it's all in the premiere episode.

The queens showcased two looks: a representation of their version of Pinoy culture and a national costume representing festivals in the country. Everything they represented in the show is for every queer Filipino — a representation of queer aspirations and a manifestation of Filipino dreams.

Here are some of the reaction from the fans:
