‘Ano ‘yan bakla?’ Cynthia Villar's Disrespectful Comment Draws Criticism from Netizens

Apr 19, 2023 0 comments

A recent video of Senator Cynthia Villar has gone viral, causing controversy and outrage among viewers. In the video, the senator can be seen angrily ordering a group of men to remove metal fences that were blocking an easement which had been converted into a parking space.

Despite opposition from a security guard and his superiors, Senator Villar demanded that the barricades be lifted, even going so far as to poke the guard's arm. The incident has sparked outrage among netizens, with many condemning the senator's behavior and calling for an investigation into the matter.

However, what has struck a nerve with netizens, aside from her rudeness and entitlement is the derogatory comment the senator directed at the guard.

"Hindi ko sinasaktan ang guard mo. Umalis ka rito! Ako nagtanggal ng lahat ng squatter dito. Hindi ko nga ito napakinabangan eh, ngayon ikaw na ang nakikinabang. Bakit, kaya ko bang saktan 'yan? Ano 'yan, bakla?" Villar said in response, despite being repeatedly reminded to spare the guard from her wrath.

Netizens said the incident happened near Zapote River Drive, one of Villar’s pet projects inaugurated in 2021. As of now, no official statement has been released by Senator Villar or her office regarding the incident. The controversy continues to grow, with many demanding that the senator apologize for her derogatory remark and take responsibility for her actions.
