This Movie-Themed Cafe in Taft is Perfect for Film Lovers

If your idea of a perfect day involves watching a good movie while eating great food, then you’ll surely love this movie-themed cafe in Taft Avenue!

A Haven for Cinephiles and Coffee Lovers

Established in 2019, The Director’s Cafe is a haven for cinephiles and coffee lovers who want to spend their day in a cozy setup. This unique two-story cafe gives you the best of both worlds by having a movie theater above the coffee shop.

On the first floor, you’ll find the usual cafe with a warm atmosphere filled with the smell of freshly made coffee. The interior is adorned by movie-themed decors like clapperboards, movie posters, cameras, and other things you’ll find at the cinema. If you’re looking for a new study spot around Taft, there are many tables on the first floor where you can study for finals or hang out with a friend.

The unique part of this cafe is found on the second floor of the establishment. It has a cozy mini theater with colorful cushions laid on the floor and a big screen for the perfect movie experience. To obtain a movie pass, all you need to do is to purchase P300 worth of food and drinks from their menu. You can choose any title from their huge CD collection—High School Musical, Harry Potter, Narnia, you name it! There are many films to choose from whether you’re looking for comedy, romance, or horror.

However, keep in mind that the movie theater is on a first come, first served basis. If you’d like to watch a different movie, you’ll have to wait for other customers to finish before you can choose another movie to watch.

The Menu

When it comes to food, the menu is just as good as the cafe’s interior! They offer a variety of drinks, pasta, and snacks that are worth every penny. Their Spanish Latte in particular is popular among customers and it’s one of the reasons why locals keep on coming back to this cafe. For as low as P300, you can already enjoy great food while watching your favorite movie in a quaint theater setup. It’s way better and more affordable than going to a bustling mall cinema!

Movie Theater for Rent

If you’re planning a special surprise or a get together with the whole barkada, The Director’s Cafe is available for mini event bookings that can accommodate up to 12 people. With a starting price of P2500, your group can enjoy 3 hours of stay at the movie theater with P500 worth of food and drinks. This is your sign to push through your long-awaited get together with friends!

Whether you’re looking for a new study spot or planning your next anniversary, The Director’s Cafe is a must-visit place for movie buffs and coffee lovers!
