OPM pop singer-songwriter Maki is ready to bring a new wave of color to the music scene with the announcement of his highly anticipated debut studio album, Kolorcoaster, set to be released under Tarsier Records on September 19, 2025.
He made the surprise reveal during the ‘Alagang Suki Fest 2025’ organized by Unilab and Mercury Drug at the Araneta Coliseum last July 31, where fans erupted in cheers as he shared the exciting news onstage.
In the lead-up to the announcement, the “Saan?” hitmaker had been teasing fans on X (formerly Twitter) with cryptic daily posts—each revealing a single letter of the album title. The teaser campaign began on July 19, starting with the letter “K,” building anticipation across his fanbase.
Maki has been consistently topping charts with his color-themed singles, beginning with the breakout hit “Dilaw”, which not only dominated airwaves but also made history as the first-ever number one song on Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 chart. The song went on to win “Song of the Year” at the New Hue VMAs 2025, solidifying Maki’s place as one of the brightest stars in the local music scene.
Following the success of “Dilaw,” Maki released a string of vibrant singles—“Namumula,” “Bughaw,” and most recently, “Kahel na Langit.” These tracks will be featured in Kolorcoaster, which is expected to include a total of 10 songs that explore a spectrum of emotions and experiences through sound and color.
Now with 5.8 million monthly Spotify listeners, Maki continues to capture hearts with his soulful voice and relatable storytelling. Before diving into this kaleidoscopic new era, he first made waves with his signature question-titled tracks: “Saan?” “Kailan?” and “Bakit?”
