3 Instagram stores for second-hand fashion & thrifty deals

Jul 23, 2021 0 comments

Different kinds of aesthetics mushroomed during the pandemic as people have been closeted (if you get the pun, comment below!) for such a long time. Many people have mixed and matched their items and even thrift-flipped some of them to make it look exactly the way they wish it does, so the pandemic has really paved the way for many fashionista's creativity. Meanwhile, some have also peeked through various shops to grab great finds that match their aesthetics, whatever it may be.

But the problem is, where do we actually score these aesthetics? Different fast fashion items have shadowed over small businesses who have way better items at way cheaper prices — that's why they don't get much acknowledgment for their items. But don't worry, here are online shops you can score great finds from without emptying your wallet (totally).

A vocal advocate for sustainability, the woman behind Mariea PH thrift flips different thrifted scores and sells them for no more than 300 pesos per item. She makes different tops such as tank tops, collared halter, and even corsets, just through her sewing machine that she uses to create every single item she sells (except for the jackets).

So to everyone who's into cottagecore, among many other aesthetics that her shop radiates, Mariea PH is definitely a go-to for you.

An Iligan-based thrift shop on Instagram caught my attention one November afternoon, and guess what, over 700 pesos have been spent! But that's not a guilty pleasure because the items were more numerous than they would've been if bought from the mall. (Admit it, this is our constant justification in splurging on thrifted items).

For no more than 200 pesos at mine price, these items can be part of your wardrobe. These are handpicked, great quality items that you can not score in the mall ever. And you can't make me think otherwise because thrifted items just really have this better feel as compared to brand new items. I bet some of you share that sentiment!

Mercato Finds (@mercatofinds)

To everyone who loves anything neutral, this shop is the perfect shop for you! With their variety of items like garterized, high quality trousers to knitted cardigan and BKK tops, this shop definitely deserves over 300 views every time they go live. Usually, the prices of their items range from 150-450 pesos only. Imagine grabbing great finds at such great prices!

Who wouldn't want to have these in their wardrobe? And fun fact, that dress has pockets. Talking about perfection, eh?

To everyone who loves to dress up, remember that fashion doesn't have to be expensive. More than great fits, sustainability should also be at the top of your priorities so happy (consciously) shopping!
