This Filipino IG shop creates origami versions of your favorite pop culture characters

At some point in your life, you’ve probably done origami whether it’s for fun or you actually did it as a form of creative expression. There is something oddly relaxing and even therapeutic about folding paper into cranes or flowers or some other figure.

An online Instagram store has taken origami to the next level by turning it into display figures that you can use as home decor or give away as gifts.

Say hello to Origene!

Origene offers handmade origami-inspired display figures that can come in the form of your favorite pop culture icons or even figures that have a personal meaning to you!

Browsing through Origene’s Instagram feed will give you an idea of past display figures they’ve done that are based on popular fictional pictures. Some of those they’ve done previously include Pikachu, Darth Vader and Yoda from Star Wars, and The Little Prince.

Origene has also previously made flowers such as roses and sunflowers, as well as animals and mythological creatures such as unicorns, swans, and dogs.

Origene also does custom orders. All you have to do is to message them with the design you have in mind!

Check out Origene’s origami-inspired display figures and order one (or more!) for yourself or your loved ones by visiting their Instagram account.
