Right to Reproductive Health remains a struggle

The reality is that there are still numerous challenges surrounding menstrual health, with myths and misconceptions running rampant. It's disheartening to see that many young girls are not properly educated about this vital aspect of their health, which can have serious consequences. The lack of comprehensive and widespread education is a significant issue that needs to be addressed.

That's where this incredible app comes into play. Specifically designed for girls aged 10 to 19, it serves as a beacon of accurate information and a valuable tool to track their menstrual cycles. But it doesn't stop there. Through a collaborative effort involving Unicef Philippines, Plan International, government agencies like the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Health, Commission on Population and Development (Popcom), the National Youth Commission, and with the support of the Australian government, a localized version of the app has been created.

Ensuring the reproductive health of girls should always be a top priority. As they navigate through the intricate hormonal and biological processes, such as menstruation, it is crucial for them to have a deep understanding of how their bodies work and the importance of maintaining reproductive health. They need to be well-informed about the best practices for self-care and handling these natural processes.

Lastly, the right to reproductive health is something that we should be more concerned about. More actions by the agencies plus with this kind of invention, they will surely be a great force to further the cause of stabilizing and progressing reproductive health access in the country, most especially for the girls.
