Here’s where you can buy gouache art from a local artist on Instagram

These days, Instagram is more than just an app where you can post selfies or snaps of things you eat, places you’ve been to, and the people you love. It’s also become a platform where artists can share and even sell their art!

From digital portraits to pet embroidery, you won’t ever run out of works of art to browse and buy on Instagram. We won’t be surprised if you even run into art you’ve never heard of before. Like gouache, for example. If it’s the first time, you’ve ever encountered it, no worries! We’re about to tell you what it is and where you can even buy gouache artworks for yourself.

So what exactly is gouache?

Gouache is a type of paint and watermedia, meaning it has to be mixed with water first so that it can be spread on a surface. It’s a lot like watercolor but more opaque, which is why it’s also known as opaque watercolor.

The term was first used in the 18th century but has been around far longer than that and continues to exist now that we’re in the 21st century.

People may think it’s similar to acrylic paint, but that isn’t exactly the case. Acrylic is waterproof and can be used on a variety of mediums, while gouache is best suited for paper. Where can I find gouache art?

You don’t have to look far and wide for them. You actually just have to open Instagram!

Artist Trina Concepcion runs the handle @kmmc.art, which has become her platform for selling her artworks made using gouache. If you’re fond of landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, and everything in between, you’ll find much to love about her pieces.

To order or view her previous work, simply visit her Instagram account! Make sure to check the highlights to see what is currently available for sale.
