Apr 3, 2023 0 comments

Metrobeats is Metroscene's way of highlighting the finest local music from our radar. Below we've broken down our list of our favorite songs from our favorite local artists from different genres. So whether you're into Hip Hop, House, Indie Rock, Disco, or Pop Music, or you have a diverse musical taste, you can find the newest #Metrobeats below.

SunKissed Lola - Damag ft. shortone

Sunkissed Lola's 5th single "Damag" ft. shortone brings a new flavor to their music as their female lead vocalist Laura Lacbain takeover! The soothing vibe of this track makes you want to daydream about your crush—while you’re strolling through the streets of twilight with the windows down, feeling the soft breeze on your faces—while creating an atmosphere of close tenderness between the two of you. Yes Mi Amor, you heard it right.

Alisson Shore - Babalik Ba

Alisson Shore is BACK for more! As he released his new single  "BABALIK BA." Accompanied by 2000s R&B-inspired visual music video—contemporary R&B singer/rapper Alisson Shore (pun intended) brings us the nostalgic feels we've been longing for. The track will make your heads bop with its contemporary R&B instrumentals and contagious falsettos in pre-chorus—"Dito papakita / Pagka't mahiwaga / Sakin ay sumama."

Moreover, the lyricism in this track is about a man who's in an awkward position in his relationship without certainty of someone coming back. Nah... We don't frown because of the sad lyrics—we frown ‘coz we bop!

Dilaw - Sansinukob

If you want music that feeds your soul and personality—Dilaw’s latest track “Sansinukob” is one click away! Aside from the track’s captivating lo-fi sounds and dreamy shoegaze, the substance in Dilaw’s lyrics and his vocal prowess will draw your interest to beg for more!

The track gives an indie rock vibe with its weighty lyrics and authentic feels—which explains how their lyrics speak about the common experience and problems people endure in today’s world.

Peter Miranda - Never Understood

Is it just me-ee-ee-ee.. or you-oo-oo-oo guys also noticed that I’m still singing after listening to Peter Miranda’s new single track “Never Understood?” The track emits a trendy upbeat pop vibe topped with VFX into perfection—which complements Miranda’s sweet and mellow vocals.

“Never Understood” is a rare find track that you can easily jam alongside with your friends—especially the elongated vowel hooks in the chorus part which will leave you LSS for days!

The 28th - Langit

Oh langit na.. Oh langit na—Finally! The 28th heard our prayers—as they released their latest single “Langit,” on March 31, 2023. The pop rock band tailored “Langit” into an upbeat synth-pop feels—serving much more dancey and feel-good vibes where people can bop their heads while listening—compared to their previous singles.

Furthermore, the track refers to an overwhelming blessing in our life that we can't seem to believe, doubting it as we think we don't deserve it and yet hoping it stays.
