Tell us something about yourself?

Hello! I am Sebastian “Baste” Cacho, I am an artist that creates intricate crafts made from discarded cardboard and recyclable materials. I started to create cardboard sculptures when I was 13 years old, my first creations were scale models of motorcycles, robots, and insects. Now I am focused on a science fiction theme on a bigger scale.

I am currently living in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, and a first-year college student studying Fine Arts, majoring in Industrial Design at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Where do you draw inspiration for your art?

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been fascinated by designs of different creatures or monsters and robots that I had seen in comic books and films. I’ve always had that affinity for those kinds of things, I was just drawn to their unique designs.

Describe your art style?

My art style is focused on science fiction theme like Cyberpunks, Steampunks and Monsters.

Have you always wanted to become an artist?

Yes, when I was a kid, I really want to become an artist because I was inspired from my cousins and their artworks, and I think it is fun to create those things so I pursue the path in becoming an artist.

Where can we see more of your art?
